What Beagle is

Beagle provides a translation and communication service. It messages an independent, self-employed local driver in Swahili on your behalf, agrees the fare, and comes back to you in your own language.

Beagle uses the Maxy OS system to do that. The system does the translating, the messaging with the driver and the arranging.

Beagle is not a transport operator. It owns no vehicles and it employs no drivers.

Your ride contract

The transport agreement, including the fare, the journey and all obligations, is entirely between you and the driver. Beagle is not a party to it.

What it costs

Nothing at present. Beagle charges you nothing for arranging the ride, and the pilot stays free until charging starts.

When charging starts, the charge will be a fixed 2 US dollars for the translation and communication service. It is not a commission and it is not a share of the fare, and it does not change with the length or the price of the journey. The price is fixed because the work behind it is the same on every ride: a set amount of AI compute, whatever the journey.

When that charge is made, it will appear on your card or bank statement as MAXY.

You pay the agreed fare to the driver in cash at the end of the ride, and Beagle takes no part of it.

Driver details

Once the ride is agreed, Beagle gives you the driver's name and the car. You can message the driver directly from that point.

What Beagle is not responsible for

Beagle is not responsible for:

• The conduct of drivers during the journey
• Accidents, delays, vehicle condition, or any incident that occurs during the ride
• Disputes between passenger and driver about fare, service quality, or any other matter
• Events beyond anyone's control (road closures, weather, mechanical failure)

The ride itself is your direct arrangement with the driver.

If something goes wrong

Message Beagle on WhatsApp. Beagle will follow up with the driver, record what happened, and do what it can to sort the journey out.

Precedence

These terms apply to bookings made through this site, and they take precedence over the general Beagle terms where the two differ.

Beagle is operated by Rubytech LLC, a company registered in Georgia, trading as Beagle Taxis, Beagle Cab and Beagle Zanzibar. Its address for service is Zakaria Paliashvili Street N 41, Vake District, Tbilisi 0179, Georgia.

Governing law

The artificial intelligence that runs the service runs on a server in the United Kingdom. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes not resolved through direct negotiation are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
